Protect people, not robots — from technology to the last mile
Since autumn 2023, the new Oberbuchsiten (DCO) service center of Meier Tobler AG has opened its doors. Around 75 employees work here in the logistics sector — supported by cutting-edge technology.
13 automated mobile robots (AMR) perform monotonous routine tasks. In Autostore, the ultra-modern small parts warehouse, a further 35 mini robots ensure that small parts are stored precisely and quickly found. And in the fully automated high-bay warehouse, five gigantic, 30-meter high stacker cranes through the alleys to transport large items such as heat pumps or boilers.
But that's not all: 45 employees from administration, service and product management have also found their modern jobs in the DCO.

A new dimension of high-tech and smart security
The DCO impresses with a total volume of 340,000 cubic meters — equivalent to around 350 single-family homes. But the size of the area presents challenges: Technology employees often work alone, away from the sight and call range of their colleagues. The “last mile” — the area between automated warehouse and truck loading — is also characterized by individual work.
This is where the Uepaa Safety app comes in:
🛡️ Dead man function (after Suva-44094)
🚑 1st responder (camera assistance alarm)
📱 Bring Your Own Device (Android & iOS)
🇨🇭 A SWISS LABEL product (100% CH quality)
The app guarantees maximum safety for all employees — regardless of whether they work in the technical sector, on the last mile or elsewhere.
Safely into the future
With the implementation of the Uepaa Safety App, Meier Tobler is sending a clear signal for the protection and safety of its employees. We would like to thank you for the trust you have placed in us and wish everyone at the DCO a safe start with the new technology.
